Artificial Intelligence and Southern Charm

I was stumbling around the internet tonight and came upon a site about Artificial Intelligence. This website has an AI computer with whom you can start a chat.

I've done this a number of times. Of course, all of the AI systems have their limitations. Perhaps they use the wrong verb tense or they give some weird response to my question.

What makes me smile is that I catch myself feeling as if I need to be polite to the AI computer. I keep overlooking the mistakes or changing the topic to minimize the computer's errors. I caught myself not wanting to hurt the computer's feelings.

It's definitely time to turn the computer off for a while.
